The family
Jackson Oil & Gas belongs to Jackson Family Legacy Investments, founded by Jermaine Jackson to carry a family heritage to new generations.
The Jackson name has stood for craft, discipline and reputation for six decades. A legacy company has one obligation above all others: to add to that reputation, never to spend it.
In energy, reputation is built cargo by cargo. It is earned when a vessel arrives inside its laycan, when the certificate matches the specification, and when the documents are clean. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

The heritage we trade within
Milestones of the routes and rules we rely on.
- 1869
The Suez Canal opens
The canal shortens the voyage from the Gulf to the Mediterranean by thousands of miles. It remains the spine of our route to Cartagena.
- 1933
Uniform rules for documentary credits
The International Chamber of Commerce publishes the first Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits. Its successor, UCP 600, governs our letters of credit.
- 1936
The first Incoterms
The ICC publishes the first international rules for trade terms, the foundation of the CIF terms on which we sell.
- 1958
Oil is found offshore Abu Dhabi
The Umm Shaif discovery begins Abu Dhabi's history as a producer. Four years later, the first crude cargo leaves Das Island.
- 1968
The deep-water port of Lomé
Togo's deep-water port opens, giving the Sahel a reliable Atlantic gateway. Today it is our discharge point for Togo and Burkina Faso.
- 1993
The EN 590 standard
Europe publishes a single specification for automotive diesel. Successive revisions bring sulphur down to 10 mg/kg.
- 2015
Abu Dhabi Global Market
